The P.O.W.E.R conference will focus on high school students and their families and during this two day experience we will provide an opportunities to engage with professionals from the healthcare industry while learning how to navigate the system, gain employment opportunities, and uplift their voices to achieve true healthcare equity. RESILIENCE WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE: Day-1: Connect with healthcare professionals and enjoy hands on related to • Mental Health and Wellness Pathways to becoming a healthcare professional • The impact of self-care and spiritual maintenance • The benefits of culturally relevant therapy • Hands on work with Suture Kits, Blood Pressure Cuffs, and Much More • Live listening sessions around youth’s experience in healthcare Day-2: We invite youth and their families to come and engage with employers and pre- apprentice and apprenticeship programs in the industry or healthcare.
